New Whitetails, Inc. Web Show – Psycho Smokes a Giant

WKP - Todd

We realize Whitetails, Inc. isn’t the show that is known for whacking and stacking whitetails on every single episode. It’s not that we’re not trying to kill the animal we spend our whole freaking lives chasing in one way or another; but we can’t always control what happens in the field. This week however, “The Psycho” from North Dakota puts down a giant. Check it out at www.whitetailsinc.com

That was a cool vid.. Any idea what broadheads he is using??

Awesome public land deer.. Congrats..

I was also wondering about the broadheads. The deer didnt' go far, but I didn't see any blood at all when the deer was just standing there waiting to expire. The buck is a stud and the "Psycho" is dedicated sitting in a stand in those temps for that long.

That's crazy how many bucks and deer are on public land up there!!! Having a bunch of deer over 1.5 on public alone amazes me (my Michigan history speaking) let alone the #'s & nice bucks. Pretty sweet!

That was a great vid. i wans't expecting him to shoot when he did...cool surprise. Also surprised me how long that deer stayed on his feet after he'd been hit. Congrats to him on a great buck.

Lucas told me that the buck actually stood there like that for about 12 minutes. We had to edit for content, but it was incredible to say the least. I just text Lucas to see what head he was using. He had told me he got the back-side of the far lung and the liver on the entry side. He obviously didn't slice a major artery or that buck wouldn't have made it 1 minute. Thanks for watching guys!

He was using a Rage 3 blade. Not to say it didn't do the job (because big whitetails are tough as heck), but I'm not a fan of those heads for the simple reason that every freaking "pro" says "rage in the cage" and it drives me batty!

Nice buck :) I believe the liver lies on the right side and likely clipped the entry side lung and exited liver which can take A LONG time to die if hit the smaller arteries on the back side of the liver.

And we all know they can go FOREVER on one lung-many unrecovered.

Likely any head would have had the same effect although I am not a fan either but for different reasons.

Good episode:way:

His season played out just like mine...except he sealed the deal and I had mine jump the string and hit the shoulder blade. It was mind boggling watching his season! Awesome stuff you're showing Todd!

I just finished going through my "Turkey Fubar" - it's funny. Can't wait for the seroius turkey hunters to see my version of turkey hunting. He he he...

I promise you I have made the same mistakes at some point...but worse!!!:D:D

And I am sure I'm not done yet....:thrwrck:

That was a dandy buck. I also can't believe how many deer he was seeing on public land up there. I have hunted public for the last how many years and have never experienced anything like that. Congrats to him

Yeah, he definately works year-around to be on the deer. Some of the distances he travels (some by boat) are so-far-beyond what most guys will do, it is why he's on them. Plus in that area of the country with deep snow, it will litteraly force deer into feeding areas without a choice. Simply a matter of survival!
