Newer Cuddebacks

Hey all
Just a question about the cuddebacks.

I remember reading when the new models were released last year that a lot of people were having problems with blurry pictures. Has this problem been resolved? I have the older nontypical camera, but I was curious about the excite I believe it is and the other new one. How is everyone liking them that bought them?

I have one and I had problems.
Nicknamed it the (Blurryback).

I sent it in and they fixed it. I occasionally have one now and then.
Better than it was before.

I have all of sudden had some trouble with one of mine. I have 2. An expert and an excite.

The excite was having some blurry pics in the mornings? The times are screwed up but here are my examples. Same camera pics are just a few days apart

That has been my only problem and this is the first time.

A lot of the blurry pictures are caused from the camera being too close to the animal when it is moving.

If you back the camera a little farther away from the trail you will have considerably less blurry pictures of animals walking by.

I am running 5 no-flash and 2 experts now, along with 3 wildlife eyes. Most of the time I see problems are due to low battery life, fog, condensation, or rain drops on the lens cover.I still think cuddeback is the best value on the market.. Our motto is "If ya wanna see this Rack-Use a Cuddeback." All above problems can happen to any camera, especially when your dealing with this heat and humidity.

My No-Flash takes perfect pictures as long and the deer are perfectly not moving!

I agree with Mike though, a battery reading of 2 and you better be heading to the store for a 4-pack of D's.

I bought one of the first ones out and have had my share of blurry pictures...maybe things are better now.

My old 3.0 is still flawless after 4 years.

Has anyone else noticed. That the Excite and Expert, burn through battiers 3x as fast as the older cuddebacks? Or is just me?

Dean

ps. Sorry for the GIANT unedited pics.

Make sure you use Duracell. We used Energizer's last fall and could hardly get a week out of 4 new batteries. We switched to Duracell and we get over a month without changing.

Dont buy one there junk! Get a stealth or moultries! All cuddebacks have is about a second on trigger speed over the stealth or moultries. The Blurryback is a good name for em!!!

Are you fellas running Cuddebacks taking video also? I'm curious on how the vidio setting effect the battery life. Just put out a No Flash this past weekend set on pic every min and thirty seconds of video. Slurged and put a two gig card in it to save my trips. Time will tell, but if you guys have advice on saving battery life, I'll take it.

Testing it out I never got any blurry pics.

Last year we had 3 Stealth Cams, two are now broken and replaced with Cuddebacks. Out of 16 pictures taken by the stealth cam this year, only 2 have shown deer. They miss almost everything.

For video, I run a wildlife eye! It is a blast. Extremely nice to see where the animals are traveling to and from! Plus very enjoyable to watch the video!

I get very few blurry pictures on my cuddyback. Every now and then there will be one, but you have to get further away or point it down from an aerial position is what I noticed!
