Long thought to be extinct in this area, a puddle was found today. The puddle (weticus precipitous) was found this afternoon by a farmer just south of town who was outstanding in his field. The puddle was placed on the endangered list several weeks ago with some sightings reported in other areas but none locally. True to its nature, the puddle was only observed for an hour or so before it was once again soaked up by the parched earth to replenish thirsty plants and animals. It is hoped that the puddle will soon return to avoid being placed on the endangered list yet again.
A spokesperson for HSUS, Ima Nutcase, stated “We had our lawyers drawing up a suit to sue Mother Nature for cruelty. But I guess Mother Nature must have gotten wind of our pending litigation so she capitulated and it rained.”
She went on to say “We were confident of our victory even before we filed our suit. With all of the activist judges we have packed the lower courts with Mother Nature wouldn’t have had a chance. With the large settlement that Mother Nature would have been forced to pay we could have gotten many more law makers elected and the banning of lead would be guaranteed.”
When asked where exactly they would try to serve Mother Nature with the writ Ms. Nutcase replied that she would “Ride her magic unicorn over the rainbow to fairyland” to deliver said writ.
