Getting a ton of noise from the silicone tubing on my peep. It slaps the strings pretty hard when fired. I can see marks on the tubing. Any recommendations?
Sorry for the hijack, but how do you guys keep the peeps from twisting to the side without tubing. I've tried G5 peeps on two different bows and cannot get the dang things to stay straight. Every shot the string twists ever so slightly and throws it off when you draw again. So I just use a peep that has tubing. Would love to get rid of it though. I feel like this is a no brainer fix, but somehow the lightbulb is not coming on in my head.
Sometimes it depends on how your tying it in, some people use different methods. When I get my peep where I want it I pull the bow back, depending on which way the peep twists, if any, I'll run the serving down the opposite side and that usually will straighten it. You can also add a half twist to the string itself. I'm sure other people have different methods as well.Sorry for the hijack, but how do you guys keep the peeps from twisting to the side without tubing.
