Much is discussed on here about the ethics of attracting deer with food plots, or hunting the,"Old Fashined", way with just waitng for deer that happen to wander by,,with no special purpose in mind. Well for my area of SE IA, we just may all have that Old Fashioned Opportunity. If the moisture doesn't come back soon that is. My plantings and that of neighbors, have not germinated in the dust. There is still time thru Sept for grains, but this drought shows no signs of leaving, and Sept is usually a drier month on it's own. I am sure what farmer corn and beans are there will comee off quick. So,,we will be forced to go back to the way is used to be or is in those truly wild areas,,and no one will have the advantage over another, because his or her food plot is bigger or better.
