Not about Iowa, but worth watching IMO.
News:
North Dakota Senate Approves New Fenced Hunting Regs
North Dakota fenced hunting operations are seeking state regulation, and on Friday the state Senate voted to oblige them.
Senators voted 45-1 to approve a bill that would require operators of big game hunting preserves to pay a $300 fee each year.
The law says any new preserves must be at least 160 acres and have adequate cover for animals to hide.
The bill now goes to the North Dakota House.
Fenced hunting operations offer people the chance to shoot trophy deer and elk for a fee. Opponents say the practice is unethical because the hunted animal can't escape. An initiative to ban fenced hunting was defeated at the polls last year.
Fenced hunting supporters hope state regulation will deflect public criticism of their operations.
