nosler partitions for black powder

I haven’t tried the Nosler Partitions. I'll have to check to see if they are competitively priced with the Hornady's. If so, I'll give them a try. I have been using Hornady SST and XTP bullets with decent results (go to: http://www.hornady.com/shop/, then select pistol bullets, .452 250 or 300 grain XTP, the SST are not available in bulk yet, go to the muzzleloader section of Hornady for those). The main reason I have stuck with Hornady is price. I buy the XTP bullets in bulk then special order sabots from: http://www.mmpsabots.com/

From what I have read on the muzzleloader Internet forums, people like the following bullets (including the Hornady's).

Dead Centers from: http://www.prbullet.com/

Barnes: http://www.barnesbullets.com/prodmuzzleloader.php
Or the 300 grain .45/70 SSP : http://www.barnesbullets.com/prodoriginal.php

The Barnes Original 300 grain 45/70’s became so popular with one group of muzzleloader enthusiaists that they are extremely difficult to find and Barnes is going to do a run this month to try to restock inventories.

One bullet that doesn't seem to be too popular is the Hornady .452 300 grain XTP/MAG. It has the jacket bonded to the core (possibly a partition design) and doesn't reliably expand on Whitetail sized game. If you want a bullet to zip right through, that might be a bullet to consider.
