Do you think this a good pic to use to try and sell your new line of trail cameras when the deer is on high alert stairing at your camera but has tasty apples at his feet:confused:

I think the guy who owns the deer is sitting behind the camera saying look over here bucky, smile!! :) I think those cameras are going to be good.

Noise from a camera is very bad! My brother had 2 moultries and it was turning deer after deer inside out when it took pictures of them. Took us awhile, but we finally realized the clicking noise it made with each picture it took was what the deer were scared to death from! Even during daylight when there was not flash, the deer were spooking from the camera, that's what really tipped us off to the noise being the main problem. Add to that the red blob glow of the IR flash at night, and it was a double wammy right in their face!
 
Theyre gonna see any kind of flash IR or white flash either way some come unglued some dont care a bit and sometimes the same deer will have different reactions to the same cam on different days. Ive got some of the "black flash" cams and they dont make any sound what so ever but if I run them on video the deer look at them and theyre eyes are glowing...they know its there and that its lit up. Thats just a chance you take when running them, but I think human scent and pressure of checking cams is a bigger problem than just a little flash or noise. If you think about it deer are high strung theyre constanly being spooked because they see or hear something that catches them off guard.

Thats why Im gonna hang mine about ten feet up the tree...Hopefully that will cut down on the IR flash spooking them.

I still run two moultie IR40 that make a nice clunk with every picture they take. Have had one out ten feet up the tree and still had deer looking up at it. Gonna put the BTC up in the same spot and see if they look up at it.
