Not excited at all!

BDAHMS

Be here Now
Well its less than a week away- that boring time of the year again- Bow season-

Such a hassle to get all decked out in camo and go sit out in nature all day waiting for that doe or monster buck to walk by. Sheesh so much work- HOURS and HOURS of time spent shed hunting in Feb to land management in spring to trail cameras all summer and fall -

This season is upon us and I hope you are all not as excited as I am!

who I am kidding- BRING IT ON:) Good Luck- Happy hunting- and BE SAFE!!!!!!!!!!

I know many on here consider me a downer, but I second what was just said in jest. I do not miss the poor hunting in the place I left,, but I do miss the colder temps, much earlier than down here, though it was slower all the time even there. Friends say they have had several hard freezes there already. Expected 87' temps in Iowa tomarrow, kinda hard to get excited about hunting. Hopefully by Nov, it will cool down,,maybe even cold ,some nights!

I've been driving my wife crazy taking about being in the stand. She just told me that maybe I should just move my stuff to the woods. I told her that she could come visit if she wants because I was packed and ready. READY OR NOT HERE IT COMES!!!!!!!!!

I have a small parcel, with limited stands anyway. The older deer do not show up on my land until the RUT , so by then it usually cools off, and I start to get the bug. It all works out. The trend though the last couple months is above average temps, so possibly even November will struggle to get cold. It is snowing now in WY. Tough hunting out there though in those Mtns. I have done it in my younger days.

I think my girlfriend is ready to kick me out to the tree stand.. We got home today and she was like "let me guess you have to go get on your hunting sites". At least she puts up with me
