Hunted this morning with a ton of action. Saw somewhere between 40 and 50 deer but none of the big boys showed their faces (or horns). Was in the stand from 5:30 until 11:30 or so and saw deer up until 11:00 with several small bucks cruising between 9 and 11. The big boys weren't up yet, but I have a feeling any day.
Ended up thinking to myself after about the 25th doe walked by that I should probably put the smack on one and thin the herd a bit. So at 8:30 I became a true believer in Rocket Steelheads when I hammered a nice mature doe and she went all of 12 yards and tipped over. Nice easy drags and find are always great.
