Not Good!

Just got done reading the morning paper again. It appears 7 huntes in Kansas have been charged with shooting 2 Whooping Cranes. Whoopers are an endangered and protected bird numbering only 400 worldwide. They were on their way from their mesting grounds in northern Alberta to the Texas coast. It is a sad day when something like this happens and will be a sadder day when there are no whoopers left, they're beautiful. I hate to think of what the "antis" will have to say about this!!

some people are just plain stupid. similar story in my neck of the woods several years ago. 3 high school kids were goose hunting and shot 2 trumpeter swans, they claimed that they were snow geese even though snow goose season wasn't open at the time.

Yeah, pretty careless and stupid in my book...I hope they get dealt with accordingly.
