He's not great but I've had more visuals of him than any other bucks lately...I feel in a pinch I may be able to find him...wasn't interested but recent photos have told me up close he may be better than I thought..Like I said, not great, short g2's and not wide but in these pics he may be a hair bettr than I thought.

His beams are good, his 3's are pretty decent and his mass is alright.....he's alright but I can't decide if I'd rather try find the sheds than hunt him....hell if I'm not sure it must be the sheds. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

That's right, if you're iffy when he walks up, you probably don't want him. Better to not have to regret it later

I'd say low to mid 150's gross. He's a good looking deer.

However, if you're talking yourself into shooting him then he's more then likely not what you want.

I like the snow!!! I am ready to see white stuff in the next couple of weeks!

As for the deer!! Looks nice to me! He would not get a pass from me!

I will take a stab at HIGH 140s. He will scare 150 real good.

Karre, I would kill for an encounter with a buck of this caliber, and your trying to figure if this is even worth hunting your FIRST year out with the bow ??? I will admit, the number of bucks you have shown pics of and talked about makes me crazy for shed season /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Dean

I say 145 gross, and go for the sheds unless you want him out of the gene pool. It looks like he has easy potential to gain 10 or 15 inches next year or the year after.

I'm going with mid 140's. Knowing the quality deer you post from up north, I'd be thinking pass but he's still a quality specimen.
