Now that its on like crazy in southern Iowa, I of course have to go out of town and wont be able to get back out til next weekend. How long do you suspect it to last like this? Bucks still cruising like crazy next weekend like they were for me yesterday?

wow really? southern iowa? I had chasing and running into calls non stop- must still be spotty?
 
It is very area specific. I've seen quite a bit of chasing on one farm (central) and 3 miles away on another, nothing. But to answer your original question, I wouldn't worry about it too much. There will likely be somewhat of a lull in there anyway once bucks start getting locked down. Maybe some of that lockdown will be over by the next time you get out and they'll be searching again. Who knows.
 
Went out this morning to a spot that showed more traffic last week on the trail cam. Not a high traffic trail, but had multiple bucks on camera last week thru Sunday. Looked at pics again today and had a few bucks go thru from Sunday to Wednesday. Saw nothing this morning, but there are a lot of cedar trees/thick brush so something could have been moving thru and I didn't see it. Checked another camera, and didn't see any movement. I'm wondering if most are locking down now. Of course, I don't believe that just because I didn't see any movement this morning that there wasn't any anywhere.
