Oat n acorns

This little fella has been gorging on 10 day old oats (already mowed once) and burr Oak acorns.
Been here for an hour and has hardly moved. Lol.

Mamma is in the back feasting on nettle leaves.

What kinda oats u do & how late they generally last up there?
Guessing that’s a burr oak. Seen acorns coming down this weekend!!!! Oh man, time is coming!!!

Skip, not sure of oat brand. Got the seeds from a friend that farms them.
Germ rate/ growth incredible!
The last till a hard frost then toast but are often grazed down to dirt before then.
Yes, burr Oak. They are dropping acorns now but the mast crop is not as heavy as usual.
Last year was Insane!

I'm guessing they like the oats. Lol.

My small radish field out back is getting wounded.
Just counted 13 deer eating in it.

Acorns appear to be done falling now.
A few Burr Oaks had bumper crops.
