DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- Authorities are continuing to wait for results of DNA tests to identify a man whose body was found in a burned car in Audubon County.
The man's body was found on Dec. 15 when sheriff's deputies responded to a car fire on a gravel road near Interstate 80. The body was found after the flames were extinguished. A cause of death hasn't been determined.
Attempts to identify the man using dental records were unsuccessful.
Authorities know who the car is registered to, but that information hasn't been released, Sheriff Todd Johnson said.
