i was thinking about getting this stand and i was wondering how well it packs up for hiking. i would prefer a response with dimensions on how flat it gets instead of just saying it packs up great! anyway whatever info you could provide me with would be very helpfull. thanks.

the grand vision packs real nice...........

seriously, i did'nt measure mine but i guess it folds to about 6 to 8 inches flat if you don't concider the footrest/gunrest. i compared it to a summit bushmaster and it's slightly heavier but folds up much more compact. 2 things i like about mine is it's quiet climbing and the web seat is great for those all day hunts.

dito to what moose said but mine saw little use this year because of the Lone Wolf stands and stick we bought.

i want a lone wolf climber but i cant afford one. how long does it take to put up the sticks and a hanging stand?

Doesn't take long at all. Very comparable times to the climbers. They are much more versatile though. With sticks and the stand the carry weight is very similar also. Very happy with my setup. Spend money now and don't worry about it later.

You would really like the flexibility of the LW sticks and strap on stand. Make sure and get an extra stick or two. Buy an extra set and split it with a buddy or two. The abilty to go higher when you want is great.

im not sure if i have enough money for all that. the ol man climber i was looking at was $180. if i was to get the lone wolf hang-on with climbing sticks, it would cost $280. i really couldnt spend that much.

I have two climbers. An API and a lone wolf. I use the lone wolf when I want to get in some place real quiet or if I have to walk a long ways. It packs up into a couple of inches wide. My api I like to use on field edges or short distances or if we have an ice storm like we did a few weeks ago. The api grabs better than any climber i've seen. It sticks out about a foot though and is kind of noisy going in especially since the plastic wrapping rips off the grabber chains after about 7 climbs.
