Old deer lures I've kept around - pics

I thought you all might get a kick out of some of these old deer lures. For some reason I just keep holding onto them. The ones with droppings in them are pretty old. None of these have a date on them. One of them doesn't even have the label anymore. If I remember right, I got most of these in the 80s. My wife asked me why I was taking pictures of these old packages full of pee and poop on her new kitchen table and I just gave her a blank stare...:D What was I supposed to say??

Enjoy

That is awesome! I really dig old school stuff like that. Thanks for posting it.
Speaking of which...does anyone have any really old outdoor magazine adds from the 70's or earlier?

Pretty cool! I noticed one was sold at Winborns's - was that the store in Davenport? I bought my first bow - a browning bush master from them when I was a sophomore in highschool. On a side note - they sold me a 30" draw bow - I shoot a 27.5" today (30+ years later). I don't think I have shrunk that much :).

Cool stuff! I started collecting the bottles when I was younger and threw them out when I sold my first house I always thought it would make a neat shadow box display in a man cave. I see back then you scratched the price tags off so your wife didn't know how much you were spending! :D

Yep that was the Winborns in Davenport. I may have bought one of these at EZ Livin in Moline also. I used to live in the QC.

Brings back good memories. I grew up in Davenport. I don't get back there very often anymore since I live in Kansas now and my family has also moved away from Davenport.

I have a bunch of magazines, some from as far back as the early thirties. I try to buy old hunting and fishing related stuff, I have a 1973 Iowa DNR poster that they would hang by where you would buy your hunting license that is pretty cool that lists all the diffrent dates for the hunting seasons that is pretty cool.
Also have decoys, 40's or 50's Westen clay pidgeon thrower still in the box, minnow buckets.
I will try to post some pic's if I get a chance, work is really busy the next few weeks.

Come to think of it, I have a pair of plastic mallard decoys from '65 and I also have some paper/cardboard type duck decoys from '65.
