old one eyed buck

Thought I would share 3 seasons worth of pictures of a cool buck on my farm. In 2008 he must of done a header in to a vehicle and went blind in his left eye and fractured his skull. He had a normal 4x4 rack but the left side went straight down around his jaw from the spring injury. His 2009 left side looked like an octopuss. When he sheds the left antler, it always takes a big chunck of skull with it. 2010 his left side was huge at the base growing down pushing on left dead eye socket. He broke most of the non typical points fighting in november. Now he looks to be putting nontypical growth on his normal right antler. He is either 5 or 6 years old and
has always been on the dont shoot list. Not sure about this year. It would be tough to shoot an old survivor like him.

A few more current pics from the last card pull. I will update more pictures on this thread as he grows.

Its funny how rough he always looks every summer but by november he is beefed up and looks good.Last chrismas eve when my 8 year old son shot his old 9 pt buck ,this buck was standing 10 feet away from him, 133 yards out in a cornfield. It took forever to make sure he was looking at the right buck and I was still pretty nervous about which buck was going to fall ,but he kept telling me he had the 9pt we were after.Right now we are tempted to give him a lifetime pass. He is one of those bucks you just like to watch and see what he does.

Pretty cool, you never know how that left antler will grow with him, that last pic of his left shed is pretty gnarly!

Pretty neat. Love hearing the stories and history about the old warriors. Be fun to see his growth progress this spring and summer. Thanks for sharing

What an old warrior! Great story and pictures 6x6 you might have to fling and arrow or drop the hammer on him unless your boys get to him first.
Awesome deer!

That deer's gonna have to watch himself whenever he gets brawling, otherwise you may end up with a very disoriented buck.
