Well sunday did not exactly go as planned. I did go duck hunting with a buddy to our "Secret Spot" where we typically hammer them early season, but I had scouted it last weekend and it was full of ducks and with the dry warm week we had my small pond was only a puddle. We had a few woodies buzz us and managed to get a few, but was slightly disappointed in the duck numbers! But what a beautiful day to be out! It was great to be with good friends and to be outside and watch the marsh wake up! But I didn't get any pictures that morning.
The rest of the day was spent with family, watching football and relaxing until my little brother Noah's football game. He is 12 and this is his second year playing tackle football and it was a blast to watch! After the game we got our stuff together and headed to a friends farm! We were set up over a freshly cut hayfield and deer were popping out everywhere. Noah is a pretty busy kid and would have been more than happy to shoot a doe, and that was the original plan! After playing musical chairs and trying to get set up on some does, a buck pops out of nowhere and he gets the shakes! He was pumped and said he wanted to take this buck! He got on him and Bamm put a great shot on him!! He was excited to say the least!
