Snuck out last Saturday morn and had the birds hang up. Drove through the night last night to take my brother out for his last youth season. Long story short, 1 tom at 30 yards behind us, NO shot taken, couldn't move. While watching that bird, we turn around to see a tom at 25 yards looking at us... PUT PUT... He moves on.

Finally 3 toms and 2 hens come in behind us and stop at 30 yards. Noah can not move and after about ten minutes, the hens decided that they had enough, so I grabbed a tail fan that I had laying next to me and held it up to block their view while Noah spun around. He got too his knees, and leaned against the tree.

Shot #1 .... Whiff! They all did the "what the heck" shuffle.

Shot #2 ... Dead bird at 59 paces (golden BB)

5 different toms within 30 yards this morning! Very exciting!! I'll try to upload the video later. Out of 3 beautiful toms, he shot the one with half a fan, haha!

Great last youth bird! He is now 6 for 7 on youth birds and had my buddy with us to help and he took some hilarious phone video of the kill. (well pretty funny for us.)

His First youth miss (3 times) while a tom whooped the pretty boy:

His first youth bird the day after the first miss, and I'm still wearing that killer hat!:

Both my youth hunters have been bigger than me their last two years. Must be something in the water.
