I just went from a 12 yaer old Hoyt shooting with fingers to a new Mathews Icon with a release and shooting carbons. Wow did it ever take alot to get consitant.

Anyway, I always shot with one eye doing the aiming (my left eye closed). Recently I have been keeping both eyes open and am finding the target faster and shooting MUCH better.

Do you guys shoot with both or one eye?

Both eyes open. Allways have.

My reply would have to be the same as Shovelbuck's. Always have and will use both eyes. But, make sure you know which eye is the dominent one. You can run into trouble shooting right handed with a dominent left eye or visa versa. (Right eye looking through the peep, left eye looking at the pin and target, assuming you're using peep and pins.)

Hey I hate to talk age here but .. I started shooting with both eye's open when I was like 20.
I missed a running deer with scoped gun !! I was told to try both eye's open man what a difference took some time to get myself doing it but it has made me better all around shot with gun & bow.
Now for the age thing I'm now 44 and my eyes are really going kinda south, I am having problems because I find myself shooting with one eye some times & two some times . Everyone who has tryed both knows you can't sight your bow with two and start shooting one ..well long story short guess what I have to start doing ?? I only wear glasses to read and that been just in the past year.
My opinion two eye's open is 50% better for both bow & gun.
