Osceola hunt

A friend and I are looking to go to Florida and try to shoot an osceola. Does anyone know of a reputable guide with a fair price?

We will have limited time due to out work scehdules or I would be willing to try the DIY way.

DIY in Florida is almost impossible as most of the land is private, hence the fact the outfitters charge what they do. I am going this spring to finish my slam and I have been doing tons of research. Either try to find a landowner that will let you on or contact outfitters and trade them for a whitetail hunt in Iowa (alot of them will jump at the opportunity). If not contact references and go with a reputable outfitter, a ton of people get burned in Florida by half ass guides. Tim Herald has a good website that will lead you to some great guides. It is pricey but I have talked to a few guys that have gone with them and they have all said it is first class. I hope you find the right person and good luck with your osceola. Hunted them in 2006 and 2007 and know a good Guy. If interested pm me and ill try to get his info. I bowhunted them but I think he has another ranch you Can shotgun hunt
Public is possible but very tough, especially with limited time.
