Very familiar with the venue since my parent's house is 3 blocks away.

Always puzzles me though why these events are held during season.

Guess people are thinking about it and willing to open their wallets at that time of year.

How much of the money raised will go to local habitat projects?

I have no idea how much of the funds go to the local chapter. But if I had to guess I would say most of the funds go directly to Whitetails Unlimited?????

That's the way it was with a couple of NWTF banquets I went to. I am no longer a member of the NWTF for that very reason!

Same reason the Ducks Unlimited Chapter in Decatur County folded, tired of the money raised being spent up north.

Have you guys heard of Impact Outdoors? They are a new chapter in the Black Hawk County area, where the money that is raised locally is spent locally. I really think that they will be growing over the next few years, and starting up chapters in other areas.
