Out of Stater'???

I have been visiting the great state of Iowa for some 16 years now phesant hunting. I have always hunted the Montezuma area and I am aquainted with a few folks from around there. Anyways I was curious if someone could tell me how difficult it would be to draw a tag for that region of the state. Also how do the tags work?? Do I get a deer tag good for all weapons or would I need to be weapon and time specific on an application??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are more knowledgeable people on this site than me on this topic but the S Central and S East portions of the state (where Montezuma is) are harder to draw for than some of the other zones. My understanding is it is a once every 2-3 yr process for most applicants. Tags are season specific so you pick archery, early ML, late ML or shotgun. I'm not sure what the draw odds are in this area but you must specify which season and weapon you want to hunt with. If you do draw a tag, send me a PM and I might be able to help you out some.
