I know many of you are members of IBA or other bowhunting groups. I was curious what other organizations you support or work with to promote conservation, outdoor recreation and enjoyment of the outdoor experience. Personally, I'm the president of our county Pheasants Forever organization, support Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation and beginning work with the REAP organization.

How about you guys?
 
Life member of NAHC and NRA. Belong to Ducks Unlimited here and Pheasants Forever Chapter back in Nebraska b/c I haven't found a chapter here in Southern Iowa.

Same for anyone else. I've looked into a lot of organizations and hands down, for me PF puts the most money back into the ground and has the widest variety of benefits to game and non-game species.

I'm in decatur, but I hunt pheasants quite a bit in Ringgold. Any help would be appreciated.

I used to be very independent and not join groups. Now I realize there are lots of great causes that need help. Also the older I get the more I feel a need to give back to the resources I've enjoyed so much for so many years.

I am a life member of IBA and the NWTF. For several years I was on the TIP of Iowa board working to increase rewards for information on those who poach big bucks in Iowa. I still support the increased reward. Currently I am on the SCI state board. I also am a member of and support PF, Whitetails Unlimited, RMEF, DU, the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, the Izaak Walton League, the Nature Conservancy and other groups.

I go to quite a few fund raising banquets and I've got to tell you I am continually humbled to see all the hard working people who keep hundreds of local chapters raise funds to protect and enhance the wildlife and other natural resources of Iowa for us and those to come.

I urge everyone on this site to find a cause you believe in and get involved. If you are a member of a conservation group you have a voice and the more members they have the louder they speak when they stand up for us.

There are so many good organizations out there that are really doing great things to promote wildlife and conservation.

Sometimes you have to choose what you feel is most important to you. There are a hundred or more different groups you could join.

Iowa Bowhunters Association
National Rifle Association
National Wild Turkey Federation
Pheasants Forever
Quality Deer Management Association

I think that is about it for me.
