Starting to get my gear ready for this spring. I know somewhere we went thru last year what everyone was using to pack everything in.

What are most of you using and maybe a picture to go with it?

Limb,
No hurry. Season is a ways off but after last year sweating off 15 pounds carrying everything I felt like a pack mule.
Just looking at my budget.

BTW- I will be with Andy. He can be my pack mule. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I would put my stool in with my double bull (in the bag) and set it on the 2200. I'd then put any extra clothes on top of that all and cinch it down tight. If either of the straps of my 2200 were loose I'd just wrap them around the whole shooting match and then cinch it down. I'd carry my decoys in the orange mesh Pretty Boy bag over one shoulder and my bow in my other hand.

All my calls would go into a fanny pack and into the bottom of my back pack. Misc crap on top of all that.

If kratz was with me he'd carry the deeks, which was nice.

Hey Risto....

i just grew a couple extra arms,
that really seems to help...... /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Leave the bag at home. Bobbin heads, extra clothes, blind, then thread the straps through the double bull chairs or over the top of the chairs, cinch it down then if you have a pretty boy or two put the straps of the pumpkin bag over the hubs of the blind and off you go. The bag is a waist of time in my opinion.

No, I bought a camp chair and modified the legs on it so my knees weren't jammed up into my chin.

In the blind I bought one of those bow holders that you just stick into the ground. That packs in the 2200.

Hopefully we get a chance to put them to use this spring. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

I got a 2200 last year and didn't use the bag either. Put 1 or 2 chairs on either side and then put the straps of the bag over the hubs, also. Everything you need can be carried in one easy load.

The Double Bull chairs are light, but about as uncomfortable as it gets, IMO. "The boys" get sore pretty quickly /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif. I'll be lookng for a new chair to use this spring.

I also pack my DB in my Badlands 2200 along with all of my calls and decoys. The DB chair works well for me. I know some of the guys on here don’t think the DB chair fits them well. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Like muddy I also like the push in the ground bow holder.

I usually pack everything in on my back, however if I can I use this rig I do. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Now that's a good idea.

I use a "BlacksCreek" Mathews pack (3:16 ?) and have the accesory "Double Bull Bucket" on it. I can put everything I need in the pack, the cloth bucket connects to the bottom of it and holds the blind along with a DB stool tucked inside the blind bag and my bow can be strapped to the outside of the blind bag. I love it, check out their website for more info. The shoulder and waist straps on this pack really make it comfortable.

Yup. Just be sure your version of Muddy can put you on birds.
