Party Hunting ??

Phantom, We had the same question a few years ago and were told that as long as they follow directly behind the other hunters and don't participate in any way(assisting with drive, etc) they will be ok. Best bet is to set him up behind a blocker. Good luck. Maggs

I'm relatively new to Iowa and have a party hunting question. Is it legal for someone (resident/non-resident) to tag along on a shotgun hunt when they don't have a deer permit? The person would not carry a weapon and would be along to shoot video or still pictures. My opinion is that this is no different than what a guide would offer. Any different thoughts?

The individual that goes along to video tape is legal as long as they do not help drive deer in any way, they also can not help by pointing out deer either, they have to be a silent invisible person...they can not tell you of a deer that you might not have seen, they can only tape the big sucker.
