Pattern bucks already?

Bowhunt

I have been out fishing lately and have noticed some bucks out running around. Do you think that a buck will remain in a certain area from now until Oct 1? I know that there is limited food now, besides alfafa that is good to glass.
I know of some good deer already, but want to get some more places to hunt and if there was one time to scout for the fall on new places when would you do it between now and then?

I would rely more on where you see then in august but even then, those bucks will split in september and head back to the core areas they use in the fall. So many things change from one season to the next. I scout in the late winter and use that as my starting point for the next years rut but use observations in Late august and Sept for my early season hunts.

I know that alot of the bachelor groups split in sept. I have ran several deer cameras on our farm for the past few years and see the same 10 to 15 bucks until mid sept. Then from then on I will maybe see 1/2 or so of those deer all fall plus about another 5 or 6 bucks that seem to move in and stay for the rest of the fall. by that time it's early muzzleloader I have most of the deer that I will see through late muzzleloader on the farm. But when november hits I see some resident bucks alot and I see other bucks that I have never seen either. I have came to the conclusion that deer travel several miles each fall, especially bucks. So in conclusion I would say I have learned the more mature bucks in an area the better hunting!!

So that brings me to the idea of where do you guys usually kill you biggest bucks. Ridges, CRP, Cedar Thickets, Willows???? Where do they seem to like to hang out in your areas?
