With the ground soon to be covered in snow- I will be heading to southern iowa to my deer hunting properties and getting after some roosters- I honestly couldn't believe the number of pheasants and quail I saw on multiple properties- hopefully this time tomorrow I will be putting up some harvest photos of a good days hunt! Anyone else getting after it this weekend?
 
Good luck, look forward to seeing pictures, especially of some quail. Only killed a hand full in my life! Next Tuesday well do our annual Christmas hunt, should be a good time. Bird numbers are steady in my area!
 
Been having a decent year up here I'm Mahaska county. Get a few everytime. Been out a lot training my new pointing lab.

about 15 minutes south of Afton near Arispe

Are you wanting to get them some action? I already have a dog and a small group going tomorrow- but I have multiple spots to go- maybe can fit in some time another weekend before end of season?

I'd be game for a hunt..I'm going to South Dakota next Friday...so, it would have to be the last weekend of the season.
 
Will post pics later- only saw 1 rooster all day! But we came across 5 different covey of quail. A few jumped way too early but the day ended with 6 quail and 1 rooster. Overall day we saw 40+ quail. 8 hen. 1 rooster.
