Pheasant season ???

Just wondering how everyones pheasant season has been going..... our group shot 19 opening weekend and everyday before and after school i go out hunting till 4:30 tonight i shot one but couldn't find it... this is the 4th pheasant in a row that i cannot find i dunno waht it is i'm sure theirs no secrets on how to find pheasants, but LOOK ALONG TIME.... and please tell me if u have ne cuz i need them i'm getting really frustrated with these damn birds... but i'll get one again sometime this year.

I'd adivse you to get a bird dog. They really add to the experience. They will find you more birds and really improve your success at finding downed and crippled birds. If getting a dog isn't possible, you must really mark the downed birds carefully (use landmarks)
 
i would love to get a bird dog, but the old man dont want me to get one. i dont really have much time to train it or nething and i kno to get one trained is alot of $$ i'm just a junior in highschool but i'm really serious about my hunting and technique. only if i could get my dad talked into getting one HHMMMMMM x-mass???? DOUBT IT thanks for the advice tho.

This morning I went out and walked some fence lines. Out in the middle of the section I kicked up 2 eight pt bucks and a doe. I stood motionless for a good ten minutes in a stare down they were only about 30 yards from me. Then all of a sudden a roster jumps up about a foot from me, scared the crap out of me. I shot three times and missed. How embarassing.
 
Huntingfool.. What size of shot are you using? I use #4 quick hard kill or complete miss very few runners. And know when to let the bird fly (too far out for a clean kill). One other question is your grandpa’s name Vince?
 
i'm using 5 led shot 12 gauge it hasen't been a problem till about a week ago i've lost 4 roosters now i'm getting very PISSED and ahh vince... i'm not sure is his last name Delagardelle.. theirs alot of us crazy @$$e$ running around haha but hees not my grandpa. Norb is my grandpa and I live in Dunkerton.

The only Delagardelle I know from Dunkerton is Tom…
Sometimes that’s the way it is just evaluate your shot and make sure you are doing by the book, good posture, head down, follow threw, you know what to do just do it.
 
Tom delagardelle-- thats my uncle its my dads brother . My dads name is Bill i dunno u pry dont kno him.. how do u kno Tom ?
