Pidgeon question

This has nothing to do with whitetails but I know that pidgeons have a season and all, but in the seasons booklet it states that "around bridges and buildings pidgeons may be taken year round" I've tried to contact the local DNR but have had no success. Does anyone know the legalities to this? Do they have to be on your property causing a nuisance or just any bridge that is further than 100 yrds away from a building? Any info would help

You can shoot pidgeons year around off a bridge. I know this because a DNR officer checked my brother and myself while shooting pigeons last August. You need a small game license and I think you need to be 200 yards from the nearest buildings. Besides its good practice and it keeps the gun quick.

I''ve watched two with leg bands on my house and I'm 14 miles from any town .Think they might be some type of pet or racing bird taking a break. Check befor ya pull the shot off
