A Few Steps Ahead Of You
its no secret that I'm not a crazy waterfowl guy, however I do love to get out a few times a year!
Friday night we camped out in the blind and ate deer steaks.
Saturday morning rolled around and the action was fast at first. 3 honkers in the first group, one honker in the next and a few ducks. But we needed to adjust our set up as the bulk of the birds were sitting down in a small bay just 60 yards behind us.
after that move, we had some of the best action I have ever participated in! It was a blast!!! no pun intended
Dekes on a rat hut
This guy came in after we limited out on geese.... he got lucky!
tempting us
Woodies... I didnt shoot these.....
24 ducks and 8 honkers
and as things usually go, we went out the next morning with totally different conditions and didnt do as well.... but it was still a great time!
"NO!!! I'm not going in, no matter what you say!"
we ended up with only a few geese and ducks, not as many as the morning previous, but it was still fun
