Planting in corn stubble?

Ive got a field that was corn this past year. I want to attepmt to put about an acre plot of ?? in one corner of the field...I may not be able to get equipment to the field to clear all the "stubble" and residue covering the ground so should i attempt to rake this by hand to remove all the chaff and access residue? certainly i cannot just throw seed over top of it; ie: frost seed? Is there a better, more efficient way of accomlishing this? Time is of the essece with me in my job...

Can you get a 4 wheeler and a drag harrow to it? Raking works I have done it then I decided never again and believe me an acres much bigger than it looks with hand tools. Are you planning clover?

I really dont know what i plan to plant...id like a to do the dbltree brassica mix for the fall but not sure if i am going to plant something in the spring...id like to but not sure what to do before the brassicas..

as far as the atv goes that may be an option and i did think of that...my only worry is about the existing corn stalks...how to get rid of those...

Is the field to be planted again this year? If so maybe the farmer can run his equipment through there like he is going to do to the rest anyways and leave that portion alone afterwards. That way at least the stubble and residue is worked in for you. If not try to find someone with a ATV plow that might lend it to you. Either way, you need some soil exposed.
