DNR busts college poaching group
A group of William Penn University students were arrested this week on numerous charges of poaching wildlife.
Iowa Department of Natural Resources conservation officer Randy McPherren said that four young men who are students at the university were involved in illegally taking four wild turkeys and one buck deer in Monroe County.
The men, Joseph C. Evano, of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; Clint D. Kelly, of Payette, Idaho; Kevin J. Riding, of Hinckly, Utah; and Cisco J. Cole, of Blair, Neb. are facing a list of fines and the loss of hunting priveleges, according to McPherren.
Another Penn student, Dustin P. Aguillared, of Louisiana, is also facing charges related to the case. For more on this story, check out the Thurs., May 6 edition of the paper.
