Poaching With A Mouse NAW

I just finished reading the editorial article in the August issue of North American Whitetail magazine titled Poaching With A Mouse by Gordon Whittington.

I would urge everyone to read this article and pass your copy of this article around to those who dont subscribe to this fine magazine. With the unfortunate and continuing increase in the criminal element in the whitetail world it does or should make one think.

I'd say most of us are guilty of it, not intentionally, just in passing info on to others, with pics.

I just read the article and tend to agree.

Images from this site are created or "downloaded" here by our members and hopefully they were not "poached" to begin with.

The images on this site are copy written and protected (and yes when they are downloaded they are given a hidden encrypted id that we can trace) but we still see them being "poached" all the time without proper credit given to the source.

I'll get off my

now.

I had 3 in my album here that had been mailed to me. I just deleted them and would urge anyone else with pics like that to do likewise. I've had mine poached in the past and don't want to be known a a pic poacher. The story is excellant.

I went thru and deleted my images that came from email......not that anything was wrong with having them.....just figured everyone had seen them by now.

Onecam, maybe we should have an Iowawhitetail logo branded on uploaded pics just so folks know where the image originated. How Labor intensive would that be or is it something we can do ourselves?
