poles for sale

Poles

Where is Grand Junction? I was actually just thinking of utility poles for a creek crossing...is that a cheap price, I have never priced them?

I have never bought used utility poles, so I can't say if that is a good or bad price in terms of the normal pole market, if there is such a thing. BUT...you couldn't buy good fence post for that price so I would say it is good. If I needed some I would jump on that offer.

If anybody was actually looking for used poles the best ting to do is to contact your local power company. We talked to ours years ago and they have gave us all the used posts for free. We cut them down and use them for fence posts. They work great!

Do you think they would work for a creek crossing, 4-5 together with a platform across the top. Did in the poles on each side of the creek, well above the water level...?

Mainly crossing on foot.

HW - If you are just walking across them, assuming you put some decent decking on them of course, and the span is say 20' or less then 2 would be plenty. I have seen such structures like this several times and I think you could be fairly safe driving an ATV over them too.

There was a pretty good post on here about 3-4 years ago where someone showed their progress photos while they built such a bridge that you may be able to search back and find.
