Predator fleece jacket question

I have a predator fleece jacket that I really like except for one thing. The wrist cuffs are super tight, to a point where I feel like it slowly cuts off circulation to my hands. The elastic band that is sewn in there is very tight. Does anyone have a recommendation on how to alleviate the tension on the band without cutting the whole thing out? Should I just cut the whole elastic band out? Or any other suggestions?

Stick something in there to stretch out the cuffs a little bit. Baseball or softball maybe? Leave it in there for a few days. Just a thought.
