Primos Cams

Anyone here use any newer Primos cameras? I've used Truth Cam 35s (big ones, not smaller Ultras) in the past and like the ease of use of them. The biggest issue I had with them was battery life, but I tend to get a lot of pics in a few places and always run them on the 3 shot burst. They run 4 D batteries, and I'd have to swap out every 2 weeks in those places. Other places with not so many pics would run longer. Need to replace a couple of them, and wondering if the newer cameras are any good. Thanks!

I run the smaller TruthCams that require 8 AA batteries and i usually don't have to change them all year.

I tried one last year. think it was the truth35 It filled up the memory card in 2 days with blank pics. Took it home and tried resetting everything and put it back out did the same thing. So it go returned.

I'd steer clear. TH has some and he has been disappointed

Ive read quite a lot of good things about their Proof series... No first hand knowledge yet but I did just out2a couple of the Proof 02 and one Proof 03 out iver the weekend so hopefully Ill have good news soon

Proof 02's are JUNK I bought eight of them for $129.99 at Bass Pro. Over exposed pictures, the camera picture is very narrow, horrible night photos, trigger speed is slow, and blurry night photos when things are moving just a little too fast.

Daytime photos are OKAY but sometimes the cameras register IR and overexpose the photos during the day and night. Was expecting more out of a $129.99 camera, returning them here soon and buying a bunch of Browning Strike Force, absolutely love those cameras. I would give examples but don't have a lot of free time right now just moved into college and I'm SUPER busy.

Hope y'all are having a good week! Sorry I'm not as active, life is getting busier and busier every day.

When you're running 8 cameras, you don't expect all of them to have the same results and they did. I barely got any good night photos.

Bought a Proof 2 last summer, failed 1st time out sent it in and a new unit was sent back. First time out with the second unit the batteries didn't last long and it only had a handful of picks. Second time it it had a million pictures of nothing or it was if it was slow reacting and only had a small portion of the deer in the frame. Also lost the current date and time. Disappointed!

Anyone have experience with both the Proof and Truth series that have compared results?

My Truth 35's (again, not Ultras) had decent pics I thought. I'm not as picky as some on detail. They would switch back and forth between daytime and IR pics at dawn and dusk, where you'd get some daytime then IR then daytime then IR in the matter of minutes, but it never really bothered me that much. I was always more interested in the deer than the color. Some night pics would be blurry if something was running, but I figured that would happen with most cameras (maybe wrong). Using the 3 pic burst, I could usually get decent pics if something was turning its head or walking/trotting quickly. And I'd get a lot of pics of blowing grass, tree limbs, etc, but figured that was just me needing to clear more in front of the camera.

It looks like they're on Gen 2 now. Do either of you know if you had Gen 1 or Gen 2?
