well this weekend, a couple rods in my brand new DB matrix got busted.... i was pretty bummed since i just got this blind and would be using it this upcoming week during 4th season.

The blind didnt break as a flaw, but rather the hubs twisted and locked as it was being set up.

Today i spent quite a bit of time calling different numbers (as Bonker mentioned) and finally got through. i explained the situation and the gentleman who helped me was very personal, as those old boys down south usually are. he told me, however, i would have to cover shipping. which i was willing to do. at the end of the conversation, he asked me.

"how long have you had this blind?"

"2 months," i said.

"well, its monday, im tired and dont want to fill out the paper work, ill just send you 2 rods, plus an extra in the event of another break, and we will cover the shipping....'

"Sweet! i will certianly continue to be a paying customer for you guys!"


I was honestly concerned since you all know that Primos bought DB out, usually a decline in CS happens in mergers like that. but i can tell you it hasnt! i am happy with my experience and when my rods show up, ill be 100% satisfied!


and i asked about the ball issue Bonker brought up. they told me that the new system incorportates metal balls. the old ones are plastic, so the system has worked, but they apparently improved it. i dunno, thats the word anyhow!


Double Bull customer for life! thats why i pay the money for that kind of quality!

Thanks for asking Primos about my balls.

I dunno, if the new blinds have the steel balls because the old plastic ones break, why did they send me the old plastic balls? Maybe I should give 'em another call.

Thomas, what #did you evenutally get through on?

I am a suspicious skeptic of almost everything in life, particularly when there is money involved, and I don't trust sales people much so please don't let my skewed vision effect opinions.

well the plastic ones work in the system you have, you would have to totally change over your hub system to use the new metal balls...... /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif balls of metal seem to be the cool new thing....

i tried using my work phone numerous times and i got a "this number is no longer valid" thing....

then just for laughs, i called that number with my cell phone and it worked.....

again, i dunno......
 
Did you guys try the place you bought it from? They switched my blind out due to tearing and asked no questions. The place also carries some replacement parts if they are needed. VERY happy with the customer service!!!!
 
no, i bought mine in the Quad Cities, this was definately more convenient

I also had the same tear and contacted the company I bought it from.They wanted me to contact Primos direct. Called Primos and they told me to send it down after the season and they would fix it and return it. Need to find a box big enough to ship it but could be worse. Find a box that 4 or 5 foot fluorescent bulbs come in, they work awesome for shipping the blinds.

risto, even the boxes for the 6-8 footers will suffice, you just have to cut them down a little. good luck.

got my rods as promised yesterday and hunted with it tonight!
needed 2 and they sent me 4!


no dead birds to report tho.....

that is why i buy Double Bull and will continue to do so! Plain and Simple!!!
