Primos Truth 35

Land of the Whitetail
I bought a Primos Truth 35 last weekend. The are really simple to set up and easy to use. I set it up in the backyard Monday night just to see what would come through. I ended up with 55 pics(set on 5 pic burst). The pictures were pretty good, real clear and I was happy with it. The 1.3 second trigger speed isn't the best though, caught the backend of one deer and the next four were blank.
I went to hang it out in the backyard again last night and couldn't get it to turn on. When it turns on the LCD screen is suppose to come and show the battery life and how many pics are on the SD card, then after 30 seconds without pressing anything its suppoe to be ready to go. Well I turn it from "off" to "photo" and the green light just flashes and the red light just stays on and i doesn't ever turn on. I read over the directions and couldn't find any help in there so I called customer service and got sick of waiting on hold for 5+ minutes every time.
Does anyone have any expierence with these cameras that could tell me whats up? If not, I got the reciept and will just bring it back.

I just got one and love it, no problems so far. Tested in back yard on critters and works fine. Just put it in the field friday 7/1 so we'll see. Good camera for the price.. I'd check other trail camera websites if I were you.

I just bought one too and love it so far. No issues yet. Just an idea but have you removed all the pictures off the card or reformatted it lately? I am not sure if it will help or not but i have heard of that happening to some cams. I am using PNY 4gb SDHC cards with no issues yet. Let us know what you find out. Maybe call primos.

I bought two of them last year and two of the next one up I think its the 46 and both of them were really undependable. I always left them out for two week intervals and sometimes I would come back and they would have a ton of videos and work just fine and other times I would get to them and the batterys would be dead and they would only have a handful of videos... Im sending all mine back now and hoping to get 4 new ones that will work consistantly. I never did try them on picture mode though, maybe they would of worked better who knows.

Well I called the Primos customer service again on Friday and got through. I described teh problem to the lady and she said that it was a problem with the camera. First, she asked if I had used the SD card in more than one form to view pics(like the computer modem, an ipod, or a digital camera), I'd only used it in the computer modem so she said it was an issue with the camera. I returned and was going to just get another one but there was only one left and it had been returned too and was taped back shut so I said no thanks. I ended up getting a Moultie D55, just from setting it up I like it better plus it can take a bigger SD card adn it is 5 mega pixels instead of just 3.5, we'll see how it goes, its out right now!!

Also, since I'm new to using trail cams I don't know this so I got a new question. I was suprised when the lady at Primos said that viewing the pics on a computer modem and a digital camera etc could mess up the camera. She said to only consistently view the pictures on one thing. She said to also not use the same SD card in different brands of trail cams. Is that something t worry about?
