Problems with Deer Cam?

I have a Deer Cam trail camera. Model #DC300. It seems like every other time I replace the film, the roll is completely blank. Nothing gets exposed on the film. But the rest of the time, it works fine.

Any ideas?

Film not advancing? That would be my guess. Maybe you are not getting the film on the gears correctly. Otherwise it might be a problem in the camera with not advancing the film.

I think it is advancing. When I check the camera, it is finished and rewound back into the casing. The photo counter always shows photos taken too. When I checked it last night, it said it had taken 28 pics.

Are you using the same brand of film all the time?

I know the stealth cams can only use Kodak film. Found that out the hard way. Not Sure about the cam you have.

I've only used Fuji 400 in it. Like I said, sometimes it works, others it doesn't. My next trail cam will be digital!!!
