Well, as most of you know I have been quite interested in the GG's. I broke down last week and bought just the broadheads. I could not believe that I needed to buy the arrows so I passed on them. Last Friday I sat in my blind with my bitzenburger and a full length GoldTip. I fletched one arrow up with three 5 inch fletches and got ready to go. This morning was the first time I actually shot the arrow and it flew PERFECTLY. The only suggestion I have for these arrows is keep it under 20-25 yards as they seem to lose a lot of steam after 30 yards. I know this because I reshot my arrow across a pasture just to check that out. They deliver a lot of whomp and are rock solid, I definately recommend these broadheads for bow-whacking a turkey.

Yes, I'd say they definitely work. Do you think the point hit the neck at all or just the blade(s)? I imagine even just a blade catching still transfer a fair amount of energy besides the cutting action. Did he flop much?

I think that the one blade pretty much caught him, the blade that is missing the little green aerodynamic sheath. It is the blade, in the picture, that is pointing directly at you as you look at the pic. The arrow hit, then flipped end over end and landed just a few feet away. The bird dropped like a hammer, sat there, then flopped around. The area was a blood bath, pretty disgusting, but we're all used to the sight of blood. I'll say this, I didn't have to wash or soak him very long to get the blood out of him, he was pretty much empty by the time I got him back to the Corsican.

FYI, no blades broke off like people think they do in this particular broadhead. The sheath was cut, but that is how they are designed. Rock solid turkey whacking broadhead!

That is awesome. i have seen them be used on the new double bull blind video but dang. that is pretty impresive. Sure wish I was the guy that invented them. Congrats on the harvest.

DANG MUDDY, I was tying to eat when I brought up this post! That makes me hungry for gizzards!! I think you sold alot of guys on these broadheads with those pics.

Muddy would you have any concern shooting through the smaller windows of the older double bulls.

No, not if you take your time and use your head while shooting them. I believe the window are 6 inches wide, that should give you an inch on each side if the bird is in a perfect position.
