Public Land Buck

I checked out some new land this year in Eastern Iowa that was public. It amazes me of the land that is offered to the public in that area. We took two four day trips over there. The first trip was more of a scout trip for the upcoming rut and we did purchase some doe tags and took a few out of the herd. I was nothing to see 25 deer per sit during the rut. I arrowed this one the last morning over there. It's not a monster by any means but I'm happy with it. We also got one other P&Y from the same area. A lot of giants over there as well. Amazing to say the least for public!!!!

Sweet kill on public land! I hunt public land a lot too, and it has been very rewarding(see my pics). Put your time in and be careful and they can be every bit as rewarding as anywhere else. Congrats!
