Went out shooting and shed hunting. No sheds but a good time shooting. Not smiley faces yet but I'm happy how I shot. Post up any pix of shots you want to share.

I was shooting sweetness(Kimber Ultra+CDP) at a Q target at around 10-15 yards. The Q target is what I had to qualify with to get my carry permit before the laws changed.

Here is sweetness.

My 1860 Colt needs emptied. I'll see if I can get that done asap and post a target. :way:

Until then, here's a three shot group from 25 yards with the .45 flinter.

Knowing Jay, that was over his shoulder using a mirror! :D

It was off hand, one handed hold, and the first three shots I fired from the gun. Sometimes I get lucky with load and sight placement. I shot a deer with it a couple months after this sight in pic, then a couple weeks later, shot the previous owners ashes out of her at his memorial service. It's hung on the wall ever since.

Ok folks, Cooter and I shouldn't be the only ones posting pics to his thread.:(
But, as I said earlier, my Colt needed emptied as it had been loaded for over a year. I headed out and fired it off this morning. I've never claimed to be a good pistol shot and I wish I was better, but at my age, I'm not going to improve. This will have to do.
This is 6 shots from the 1860, .44 Colt at 20 yards, two handed hold.

Well, this isn't punching paper, but, I got a kick out of it.. My girlfriend sent me a text today while I was at work. She told me she was going to get her bow out today (she's only shot a bow once before and it was this one a couple months ago at Fin&Feather when we got it set up)...

Her text under the pic she sent me was "AT LEAST I'M CONSISTENT??"... haha

Here is a group I shot last year... The first shots I made last year at 50 yards and right after refletching the arrows.. Nothing too special, but, it's the only pics I have of targets I've shot..

This is the only picture I have saved of my target shooting. 1 shot at 100 yards with my muzzleloader last December. I just reloaded and called it ready for season, unfortunately nothing tripped my trigger.

You gotta love those one and done shots.

I finally got a chance to take a couple of pics of my two favorite targets from recent years. These are associated with my first attempt at hand loading for my Rem 700 .30-06. I used Barnes TSX 165 gr bullets and the results were amazing (still are).

Here is my 100 yard first test group (which has become my hunting load). 3-shot string that printed .48" center-to-center:

After I got it sighted in at 100 yards (1.8" high), I made sure it was on at 200 yards. It printed this 3-shot group at 0.81"! How's that for sub minute-of-angle??

However, I'm now working on a new load using the 168 gr Tipped TSX that I think will perform even better! :way:
