QAD arrow rest

I am going to be using the QAD LD arrow rest this next season and I was wondering if the cockvane should be up or down in using this rest? Or if it really matters.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, up gives you the least chance for contact but most rests will allow either without making contact unless you have an extreme vane height.

Check for contact issues. I shoot with mine up becuase I wrapped a different kind of mole skin on my launcher arm and was getting contact issues when the cock vane was down.

I've shot with my cockvane up, down, and to the side and feel I get the least chance of contact with it down.

Also make sure if you have the cock vane up it doesn't hit the cables to the side. I can't shoot with mine up because of this reason.

It shouldn't matter since it's a dropaway rest. I have a QAD on my Destroyer 350 and it is coming off within the week. My fletching is hitting and not having that! Going with the new PSE dropaway rest.

It all depends on the bow and your fletching. I like mine straight up if I'm using a low profile vane. If I'm using a higher profile vane I need to put my cock vane at 1 oclock to clear the cables.

When the original mole skin was on my rest it didnt matter how I had my cock vane, however I had the same thing happen as soon as my original skin wore down I replaced it with some of my own and it hit it but didnt mess up my shots. Just a safe bet I assume to shoot with cock vane up.
