Question for LW Alpha guys...

KSQ2

PMA Member
I'm looking at upgrading my backpack for next year. I've gotten by with a smaller pack the past few years that fit on the back of my Alpha; but this year I'd like one with more room and more support. The ones I've been looking at have the padded straps and belt support, how do you attach that to your stand? I've noticed several of you use badlands packs with your alpha's, so how do you do it? BTW, I don't use climbing sticks, so they shouldn't be an issue.

I will have to post the way that I set my badlands up. I think it works much better than the ways posted above. That is only an opinion though. I have found it easier for myself anyways.

I've taken to just packing my LW and sticks over my right shoulder and putting all my clothes on my back pack. I've packed them the way Limb does and it does work great, but sometimes I find that the extra weight on my pack makes me a little tippy when walking.

To each their own, you'll find which way works best for you.

you get a little more weight up front Muddy, and problem solved.....

How far do you walk in, my hikes to are about 1/2 to a mile walk.

Some of my hikes are 100 yards, some are 3/4 of a mile.

I'll admit this, on LONG hikes throwing the stand onto your backpack rides the best. If I have to go through thick brush I like to have it on my shoulder.

I realized I carried too much crap in and put the pack in the closet and put back pack straps on the stand itself. I then place my Badlands stealth pack on the top by hanging. Much Lighter in my opinion and easier. If you like a lot of gear, the 2200 pack is the way to go.

Carrying in a double bull blind or the decoy, the 2200 is the ticket for me
