Rage broadheads

Just checking to see if anyone else ran into this problem.

Friend of started using rage 2blades this year. On an elk hunt last month, got video of him sticking 2 arrows into a big 6x6 bull, good placement, sounded like the arrows were hitting a tree and he got less than 6 inches of penetration on each. Behind the shoulder good, so it wasn't shoulder blade.

Tracked it for well over a mile, jumping it once and said it didn't look like it was hurting too bad.

He ended up taking a smaller 4x5.

I didn't have a ton on penetration with mine, but it got lodged in a front shoulder on the back side. Also, my shot was longer than most I take!

Also, If I am reading this right, and he had 2 well placed shots, that penetrated 6 inches each? It shouldn't matter if what head, that animal should be down! My guess, he either got less than 6 or did not have good shot placement. I can't imagine an animal taking two broadheads with the hole these things leave and still going. But I could be wrong!

Guess I don't have an answer. But was a little concerned with the penetration I got, until I saw it lodged in a front shoulder! I don't think I would have passed through with any broadhead! IMO these heads work and do serious damage.

Last year I made what I would say was a perfect shot on my buck. quartering away. and when I found him about 200 yards later. Turns out. My entry was PERFECT! caught a rib and sent it through one lung and ito the breast bone.
