3" and it's supposed to rain even more! It's steady, but I was bummed out! Had my first XC meet that got cancelled. We've had enough rain but it's nice to have a little more.
Enjoy what you get,,and consider yourself lucky if you got 3 inches,,cause after tonight, near 90' all next week,,Hot and Dry again for who knows how long? Here we go again...Sorry to sound like a downer,,but is what is forecast.
Can't turn this thread into a downer thread yet  We've had way too many of those lately. Yeah Muddy what is up with that? We ran in the snow when I was in school!
Loneranger, you may need to move to Washington. It rains all the time there
Josh, up in the southern cass and northern adams we got anywhere from 2-3.5 inches. Just started raining again, looked at radar and looks like another band extending down to St. Joe is moving north. Might end up with close to 4 inches around here. This is awesome. We have not had more than .2 since june 23rd. Too late for corn, beans it will help a little but more than importantly we will hopefully have some grass in the pastures for this fall.
Good for you,I know you were dry. If you check the radar this morn you can see the activity has shrunk down to little,,over SE Iowa. Guess will have to wait until Sept to get my first inch?
"Of course the big question for the parched drought areas of the Midwest is how much rain to expect from Isaac.
Our current rainfall forecast map shows that a swath of 6 to 12 inches could fall across parts of Arkansas, Missouri, and western Illinois, with 2 to 6 inches of rain across a good chunk of the Ohio Valley.
This will not wipe out the drought since it is so widespread and extreme, but certainly a good soaking for some locales."
They are saying the Isaac rain will go up to southern Iowa. Would be nice if it could just soak at least the bottom 2 tiers of counties. Looks like my western Illinois area's supposed to get hammered.
