Had wind real bad in South west Iowa, took my machine shed doors tore up the house took some trees. More on the way from neb. argggggggggggg storms keep getting bigger ?

Had a tornado go through and now it's just raining like crazy. Winds have been awful, at least it hasn't hailed yet. Most guys we know have lost ALL crop they planted. Friends have lost cars from falling trees, house windows are blown out, it's a mess we just won't know how big until tomorrow. Looks like I'm going to be up a while longer because they're saying 3 more storms are going to hit. 5" already, not looking good. Had to leave swim practice in Omaha and race the storm home.

Yea it looked like it was bad over there. So far so good here, but its not over yet.

My biggest concern is the turkey. Anyone know if they have hatched yet? 6 inch of rain in 6 hours in Bedford. That can't be good for anyone.

My uncle found a nest where they had been hatched out but I think a lot are still nesting.

It so happens that Loneranger's farm is not too far from mine and we usually compare notes a several times throughout the year via PM's here on IW, phone calls, visits, etc. He is a great guy and over the past couple of years it has been uncanny how many times the rain that we did get somehow managed to miss his place. But I have to confess...when I saw how much rain was falling in S IA last night I thought to myself...I wonder what Ed/Loneranger is doing right now? It looks like I was not the only one.
