I need some advise on rain gear, I have 10X and its junk. My H/H decided to dry up and not be worth a shop rag. I am assisting my new boss on Kodiak Island on May 2nd for brown bear. I need somthing durable, light wieght, and 100 % water proof. It must sustain 10 straight days of down pouring rain. The weather can change durasticly in minutes. Any advise will be greatly appriciated, Thanks... I will have some awesome pics for you guys, Hope my Iowa fleece makes it for the trip.
 
10 straight days of rain and everything will be wet on the 10th day..........guaranteed. when i was up there it rain 16 of the 17 days we were in the bush. everything i owned was wet. i can't wait to get back....

Back when i was six or 7 and it was raining and i needed to get out and go chase sparrows and blackbirds with my red ryder i would take black garbage bags, and make the proper holes duct tape them together and you got a dandy rainsuit. might work real swell bear hunting, you could impress the boss and become a good bear decoy

make sure you use hefty, those other brands just dont hold up as well.

If the MTO50 is in stock there is no reason why you can't get it there in time. It can be express shipped. It is the best.
 
I have to agree with shovelbuck. MT050 is the creme' de la creme'. Cabela's has rush shipping at www.cabelas.com and you can track your order with online tracking telling you exactly where your package is at. If it's in-stock, you could wait another week and still be fine.
 
I here ya about getting it on time and cabelas being a fabulous outfitter but time is to short to depend on mail and being total geared for alaskas durastic weather patterns.. But theres a huinting expo going on this weekend and hope to pick up some of the latest gear.the only thing I had responses for was the MTO50 is there any other 'creme de la creme' out on the market. If my search this weekend doesm
n't turn out I will pick up some H/H
 
You can get over night and two or three day shipping from cabelas gauranteed for only $6.00 more dollars. Even to Alaska.
